Suzuki 1972 Sales Brochures

Kevin here in London, Ontario lent me a few Radco press releases from 1971 for the 1972 model year, including stock photo shots intended for advertisements. Just 'click' on any image to see a larger version.

And a few more Radco images from Kevin. Radco was the Canadian Suzuki importer here in Canada prior to the creation of Suzuki Canada. Of interest on the back page is the mention of Thompson Cycle in Barrie Ontario, which was the Eastern Canada Suzuki distributer/agent for Radco. in the 1971/1973 timeframe.

Below is a gallery of selected Suzuki sales publications - some scanned by myself, some done by Glenn Reay in the UK, and also by many others around the globe.

Just click on any of the thumb nails for a larger version.

1972 GT750J

One of the ads talks about the GT750 being the world's first water cooled 2 stroke. Of course it wasn't, as Scott Motorcycles, in the UK, produced twin cylinder water cooled stroke motorcycles, along with a handful of three cylinder prototypes between 1908 and 1950 when the company went into liquidation, and then as Birmingham Scotts till as late as 1978 (a derivative called the Silk Scott was also produced in limited numbers in the 1970's). More accurate would be to say the GT750 was the first three cylinder mass produced water cooled 2 stroke motorcycle.
