  • Brake hoses were the same as used in 1975.

  • The small "Suzuki" labels on the brake callipers were smooth (not embossed) black foil labels and the letters were silver.
  • The calliper mounting bolts heads were cadmium plated, not chromed, and the bolts holding the two halves of the calliper together were smooth, not knurled.

  • The master cylinder used a plastic fluids reservoir.
  • For most countries, the hole for the front brake indicator switch which was incorporated into the underside of the casting was left uncovered (E1 General Export machines in 1974 and 1975 had a blanking cover fitted, part number 57481-33010). Refer to the Country Specific Versions section for additional detail.
  • The mirror threads were 10mm and chrome plated anti-vibration adapters were included as standard equipment - the mirrors had the Suzuki "S" stamped on the metal rear surface.
  • The front fender was the same as was used in 1975, having a 'U' shaped stay attached to the outside of the fender by bolts passing through from the inside surface of the fender.
  • The horn was the chromed 'target' style used in 1975.
  • The headlamp ring was chrome and round, the same as used in 1975

  • The ignition key used a 3 digit code, and was double sided.
  • The rear shocks used the short upper chromed shroud as was used in 1975.
  • The front forks were the same as used in 1975.
  • The fuel tank was new for 1976 , and while it looked bigger it still supposedly held the same 17 litres as the 1975 model tank. It now had a key locked cover over the fuel cap.
  • The frame side covers were unchanged from 1975.
  • The air box and end covers were unchanged from 1975.

  • E1 General Export machines did have the passenger grab rail insalled as standard equipment. Please refer to the Country Specific Versions section for additional detail on differences specific to your country.
