GT550 machines have appeared in a few films and at least one television show. Admittedly, some appearances were mere glimpses, but others were much more so - a few that I have been able to confirm include:

As well, the GT550 has featured on at least one record/album.
- A promotional 'flexi' disc was produced for Suzuki in 1973 that featured 'Shake a Tail Suzy' on the 'A' side by Barry Blue (aka Barry Green). The 'B' side had an interview with Barry Sheene. The bike on the cover appears to be a GT550.
