Japan Light Automobile Industry Co., Ltd, Nishi Shinmachi, Hiroshima City, 1937-56

日本軽自動車工業株式会社

Yet another small company assembling machines using engines from another supplier. Japan Light Automobile was based in Hiroshima and built at least two models under the NKB brand name. They made the NKB Castle prior to WWII, which was a 90cc single cylinder 4 stroke. Post hostilities in 1952, the company resumed production making a 90cc NKB Junior (NKBジュニア) as well as a larger 250cc model for which a name isn't given. According to Yaplog, they exported machines to China in the early 1950's and the 'Century of Japanese Motorcycles' shows them ceasing production in 1956.
