Chuo Motor produced - or at least sold - a moped engine kit suitable for bolting onto a bicycle frame in 1952 which was called the Petty ( ペティ号 ). This looks to have been a 60cc 2 stroke engine, and is tagged in the ad as beng an M6 which makes me wonder if it wasn't actually made by Nakajima Motors Sales Co., Ltd. (中島モータース販売株式会社). The same engine also appears to have been used on the Nissan Petty (ニッサンペティ) sold by Taiyo Internal Combustion Engine (太洋内燃機).
