Maruuchi was principally a bicycle maufacturer but also marketed a range of mopeds called the Public (大衆号), Planet (プラネット号) and Maruuchi (マルウチ号). No additional data is available.
Mike sent me some additional scans from 1958 and 1959 showing Maruuchi machines, but the manufacturing name appears to be slightly different. I make is as being the National Bicycle Federation Cooperative Association (全国自転車連鎮協同組合連合会). I suspect in time more data will surface.
