Martin Seisakusho (Nagata Ward, Kobe City), 1956-61
マーチン製作所
Martin Manufacturing produced a range of motorcycles called, oddly enough, the Martin ( マーチン号 ). They were 'machine assemblers' handling the running gear, frames, tin etc., and used engines made by FMC under the Gasudun brand name. Martin went under when FMC declined, or were unable, to continue supplying them with engines.
The Martin 2HL was a concept vehicle that didn't go into production, and the VA was unusual in having the dual headlamps. Engine sizes ranged from 125cc through to 250cc and included 2 and 4 stroke options.
